Hokkaido Okhotsk Ice Drift Science Center GIZA

You can feel your pores tighten! -Experience a world where the temperature is -20 degrees Celsius!

How is drift ice formed? How thick is an ice floe and how hard is it? This is a hands-on facility that will answer these questions for you. In the exhibition room, there are many fun and educational corners, such as the Dome Theater, which displays powerful images on a 360-degree circular dome, and the -20°degrees Celsius cold experience room. In addition, the largest number of cliones in Japan are displayed in a special tank. Another attraction of the museum is that you can experience real drift ice all year round, regardless of the season or weather.

*The Dome Theater is currently not showing due to construction until December 31. Also, the observation deck on the 3rd floor is closed.
