Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park
Home to a wide variety of flowers, including tulips and lavender, this garden blooms in succession.
Centered around areas such as "Flower Meadow" and "Harvest Valley," seasonal flowers bloom in succession throughout the park. Including the wildflowers that grow in the meadows and woods, there are approximately 800 species in total. The seasonal landscapes, adorned with the picturesque scenery typical of Hokkaido, are sure to lift your spirits. In addition, around mid-May, the western area of Takino's forest zone is notable for over 1,500 naturally growing Glaucidium palmatum plants. The park is a year-round delight for visitors, from flower lovers to toddlers playing on the extensive playground equipment or in the river, to families enjoying winter activities such as tubing (free) and skiing on one of the largest slopes in the country.
