Rishiri Island Cycling

The Rishiri-Saikuru Road is a 60-kilometer course that circles Rishiri Island, connecting the 25-kilometer cycling road and the 35-kilometer public road. Starting from Oshidomari Port, the gateway to Rishiri Island, it takes about seven hours to cycle through while enjoying the scenery. You will visit Himenuma, Otatomari-numa, Senpou Misaki Park, and of course, Shiroi Koibito no Oka (White Lover's Hill) where you can enjoy the view printed on the renowned confectionery package. The island offers cycling trails such as the Green Line (about 6.5 kilometers), recommended for families, and the Blue Line (about 18 kilometers) takes you along a spectacular view of the ocean. Rishiri Island is extremely popular with cyclists and every year, many participants from both in and out of the island gather to participate in the cycling event around Rishiri Island.
