Mishima-san's Garden.
Mr. Mishima's shiba-zakura, which turn the foothills of Mount Yotei pink and herald the late arrival of spring
Mr. Mishima, a resident of Kutchan Town, has painstakingly cultivated and increased the number of seedlings in the moss garden, making it a famous place for flowers that heralds late spring in Kutchan Town. The flowers begin to bloom little by little in mid-May and usually reach full bloom from late May to early June. The flower beds are about 4,000 square meters in size. The gradation of deep pink, pale pink, and white flowers is stunningly beautiful. In some areas of the garden, white flowers are used to form a shape of Mt. Yotei. During the cherry blossom viewing season, the Kutchan Tourist Association's website provides information on the blooming status of the flowers, so be sure to check it out before you go! The garden is open to the public through the kindness of Mr. Mishima, so please observe good manners when visiting.
