Bihoro Pass Observatory

From Lake Kussharo to Shiretoko in the distance, you can enjoy "the best view in the world.

At an altitude of 525m, Bihoro Cape is located between Bihoro-cho and Teshikaga-cho. From the observatory, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Kussharo, Japan's largest caldera lake, the smoking Io-yama mountain, and the distant peaks of the Shiretoko mountain range and Taisetsu. In March 2018, the second-floor observation room of the "Gurutto Panorama Bihorotoge" roadside station was renovated to create a stylish and comfortable space. Please enjoy the spectacular view along with the roadside station's famous "Age-imo" and "Kumazasa Soft".
