A long-established sake brewery that brews its famous sake with fresh snow water from Mt. Taisetsu

Asahikawa's Takasago Sake Brewery, known for its "Kokushimuso," is a historic building built in 1909 near JR Asahikawa Station, where the brewery used to manufacture, bottle, store, and sell its products. It is now a direct sales store, selling ice-cold "Asahi Kamui" sake, limited edition sake from the brewery, popular hidden products such as sake lees, and original goods such as aprons. The shop also offers tastings of freshly pressed sake in bottles. Old sake brewing tools are on display, and a factory tour is available to see the actual production process.
