Kan Yasuda Sculpture Museum Arte Piazza Bibai

Standing in the middle of a 70,000 square meter site, this museum is located in a nostalgic wooden school building that retains the atmosphere of the old days. On the second floor, there is a classroom that has been converted into a gallery, and there are also about 40 abstract sculptures by Kan Yasuda, a sculptor from Bibai, scattered around the grounds. At the hands-on workshop held on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month, participants can learn to carve in white marble and express their creativity through the stone. The classes are so popular that a lottery is held for the times when Mr. Yasuda is the instructor. When you get tired of walking around the sculptures, you can take a break at Cafe Arte, which is known for its comfortable atmosphere, where you can enjoy the view from the window, savor a cup of coffee, and relax.
