Fuwatto Tomamae
Take a break at a roadside station with hot springs. There is also an open-air bath with a spectacular view of Teuri Island and Yagishiri Island.
Roadside Station Fuwatto (a wordplay with the words “wind” and “watt”) Tomamae was named after the Tomamae Wind Farm, the town’s symbol. In the attached hot spring facility, featuring a white roof that looks like a cloud, you can soak in saline spring water, which is known for its high heat-retaining qualities and will warm your body to the core. The bright and spacious building has a variety of other facilities, including a restaurant, a lounge, and a specialty store. This place is also famous for the beautiful sunsets that can be admired from the terrace and the outdoor baths from May to September. Relaxing in the hot spring while watching the sun set over the Sea of Japan is a great way to recover from the fatigue of driving! At the restaurant, you can enjoy fresh seafood, such as locally grown scallops and the famous ama-ebi shrimps.
