Notoro Lake Coral grass colony

The scenery looks like a bright red carpet has been laid out for you!

Ubaranai is located on the southern shore of Lake Noto in Abashiri National Park. The coral grasses that grow in clusters around the lakeside usually reach their peak of beautiful reddish coloration from the beginning of September to the end of September or the beginning of October. In 2010, the number of coral grasses in the area was decreasing due to poor growth, but the area was finally restored thanks to the All Abashiri team's efforts to collect and sow seeds and improve the lake's water intake and drainage. In August 2015, the revival of the colony was finally announced.
