Nijukken Road Cherry Blossoms

The Nijukken Road is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. You can enjoy the cherry blossoms just by driving along the road, but we recommend you park your car and take a leisurely stroll. On the side of the main street there is a narrow gravel road called the Flower Tunnel, where you can immerse yourself in a world of fragile and beautiful cherry blossoms that seem to cover you from both sides. Along the street there are stone monuments indicating that the place is one of Japan’s Best 100 Roads and Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. A monument commemorating its registration as Hokkaido Heritage will be set up soon. For history buffs, it is also recommended to explore historical sights such as the Monument to Otose and the old Ryuunkaku guesthouse.
