Hakodate Jomon Culture Exchange Center
Hokkaido's only national treasure, the Chuku Dogu (clay figurine), is on permanent display at the museum.
The museum is attached to the Roadside Station "Jomon Roman Minamikayabe". The museum displays a large number of pottery, stone tools and other artifacts excavated from the Jomon sites in Hakodate, such as the Minamikayabe Jomon Site Group. The only national treasure in Hokkaido, the Chuku Dogu (clay figurine), is a must-see. The museum also offers seven workshops such as making miniature earthenware and accessories, allowing visitors to experience Japan's proud Jomon culture.
