Betsukai Town Sightseeing Boat

Enjoy the nature of Notsuke Bay with a 30-minute boat ride from the fishing port of Odaito to Todowara Pier.

If you want to see Todowara on the Notsuke Peninsula, the best way is to take a sightseeing boat that departs from Odaito Fishing Port. The boat trip takes about 30 minutes each way, weaving through shallow waters. Depending on the season, you may be able to see cute and charming spotted seals, or the utasebune, traditional fishing boats used to catch Hokkai shima-ebi shrimps. The sight of eelgrass fluttering in the tide is also fantastic. The boat docks at Todowara Pier, on the other side of the bay, for 30 to 50 minutes, which gives you plenty of time to stroll along the wooden path and take in the unique and desolate scenery.
