Soya Hills
Have you been there yet? The contrast between the "white road" in the Soya Hills and the sea and sky is spectacular!
This is one of the largest hilly areas in Japan, where glacial landforms formed during the last ice age of the Earth have been rounded over the years to form gently rippling periglacial landforms. The White Path made of crushed scallop shells that covers the last 3km near the goal on the Soya Hills Footpath Course is a popular spot. The Cape Soya Wind Farm, located in the Soya Hills, with its 57 windmills, is one of the largest in Japan.
