Road Station Akkeshi Gourmet Park / Akkeshi Mikaku Terminal Conchiglie

A gourmet roadside station that sells oysters and other local specialties of Akkeshi, here you can also find tourist information and a restaurant and charcoal grill that offers marine products. As the name Conchiglie (“shells" in Italian) suggests, the menu and souvenirs are all about oysters. There is also a mini aquarium, a general exhibition and sales corner with original products unique to the roadside station, and an observation room, making it a fun place for children and adults alike. You can also apply for a canoe tour of the Bekanbeushi Marsh, a clam digging tour, and other hands-on activities.
