Onuma Cycling
Cycling around the Onuma to visit spectacular viewpoints
The lakeside of Onuma is about 14 kilometers long and can be toured in about 70 to 90 minutes. The view of Mt. Komagatake, which changes its expression depending on the angle and the season, and the flowers that bloom each season makes for an exhilarating cycling experience. It is recommended to start from Onuma Koen Station and go counterclockwise along the lakeside road. You will pass by Komagatake view spots such as the lakeside wooden path and a campground, and Komagatake Shrine, known as a sacred site, will appear on your right, where you can see large rocks that were flung by the eruption. Passing the Tsukimi Bridge between Onuma and Konuma, you will soon reach the goal when you see the stone monument of the “Three New Views of Japan.” Enjoy the Onuma while looking for your favorite spots!
