The Road to the Sky

The most beautiful spot in Shiretoko that you should visit at least once

This straight road is about 28.1 km long. It was given this nickname because the straight road looks as if it leads to the sky. In 2018, a new parking lot and a simple deck were built so that visitors can take their time to enjoy the spectacular view. It is also a spot for sunsets, and depending on the season, you may even be able to see the sun set over the road. This is one of the must-see spots in Shiretoko.
