Jozankei Hot Spring

Jozankei Onsen is a hot spring resort located deep in the heart of Sapporo that has been around for over 150 years since the Ainu people guided a monk to the source of the spring. There are many hot spring inns scattered along the valley. Although it is within easy reach of Sapporo City, it is located in the Shikotsu-Toya National Park, and many people come back again and again to see the seasonal scenery of fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snow. The Toyohira River is home to the legend of kappa, and there are also fun kappa statues by various creators throughout the hot spring resort. The "Jozankei Nature Luminarie," which incorporates projection mapping and co-creates with the nature of Jozankei, is a hot spring resort that can be enjoyed by all generations.
