Kushiro Marsh is famous for being one of the largest marshlands in Japan. The entire marshland, including the surrounding area, is a national park and was registered as a Ramsar site in 1980. If you want to take a stroll in Kushiro Marsh, we recommend walking along the 2km wooden path that starts from the Onnenai Visitor Center. It also leads to the Kushiro City Marshland Observatory promenade, where you can take a leisurely stroll while enjoying the seasonal scenery and plants of the marshland.
