Hokuryu Town Sunflower Village

More than 300,000 tourists visit Hokuryu-cho every year, making it one of the most popular tourist spots in Japan. The Sunflower Festival is held every year during the season from late July to mid-August, and the sight of 2 million sunflowers blooming in a vast field of about 23 hectares is a sight to behold. There is also a world sunflower section where you can see about 30 different kinds of sunflowers, a huge maze made of sunflowers, and a sightseeing center where you can enjoy eating, drinking, and shopping. In addition to renting bicycles, the Himawari-go sightseeing car is also available, so you can take a leisurely tour of the spacious grounds.
