Oshinkosin Waterfall
The powerful waterfall at the entrance to Shiretoko is a sight to behold.
It is located along Route 334 on the way to Shiretoko, a World Natural Heritage Site, and you can take the stairs from the parking lot to the middle of the waterfall. The sight of the waterfall is overwhelmingly powerful. The waterfall is also called "Soubi-no-taki" because the flow splits into two directions, and its brave appearance has been selected as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan. In autumn, the surrounding area is colored with autumn leaves, and in winter, part of the river freezes over, providing a beautiful view.
