Cape Notoro

The cape juts out into the Sea of Okhotsk, with the Sea of Okhotsk to the north. To the west, you can see Lake Notoro and the coast of Tokoro Town, and to the east, the Shiretoko Mountain Range can be seen in the distance, making this a spot where you can feel the beauty and grandeur of Okhotsk. It is also a spectacular spot known as a film location and commercial filming location. Lake Notoro is known for its coral grasses in the fall, but in the middle of winter, you can enjoy the powerful scenery of drift ice coming close to you. If you go close to the edge of the ice, you will have the magical experience of being surrounded by drift ice almost 360 degrees.
