Manabe Garden

Overwhelmed by rare trees collected from all over the world!

Manabe Garden is known as Japan's first coniferous garden. Unlike other gardens, it consists of hundreds of species of trees imported from Northern Europe, Canada and other countries. The size of the garden is about 80,000 square meters, and some of the trees are old trees from before the development of Hokkaido. As you walk along the path, you will see a Japanese garden, a Western-style garden, and a landscaped garden, and you may even see Ezo squirrels. In addition to the trees, flowers such as hamanasu (Japanese apricot) and ezo hydrangea bloom in June and July, and the Manabe Garden's collection of trees, which has been in existence since 1966, is well worth seeing.
