The romance of the end of the Edo period comes to life! Get a glimpse of the heroic figures of Hijikata Toshizo and his friends through the ages!

The warship Kaiyo Maru sank in 1868. More than 100 years later, in April 1990, the ship was restored to full size, About 33,000 artifacts were excavated and salvaged from the bottom of the sea, and about 3,000 of them are on display inside the restored ship. This hands-on museum allows visitors to experience firsthand the lives of people who lived in the midst of changing times through a variety of valuable materials and artifacts.
