Sapporo, Otaru, Yoichi and Hakodate - a splendid four-day tour through the bustling cities of Hokkaido Arrive at New Chitose Airport and depart from Hakodate Airport

DAY 1

Land at the gateway to Hokkaido, the New Chitose Airport, and head to Sapporo, the capital of the north. First, take a stroll through Odori Park, which stretches east to west through the center of the city. Odori is an area that is both an office area and a shopping district. After taking in the fantastic views of the city from the Sapporo TV Tower, visit the Sapporo Clock Tower, the former theatrical hall of the Sapporo Agricultural School, and the Red Brick Government Building, the former headquarters of the Hokkaido Government Office.

Need a break from walking? Take a break at a café where you can enjoy soft-serve ice cream and parfaits made with Hokkaido milk. Then, visit the Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium, the site of the 1972 Winter Olympics, and enjoy the dynamic view from the jumping platform as if you were an athlete. In the evening, take a stroll through the Susukino shopping district to enjoy Hokkaido's gourmet delicacies such as Jingisukan, seafood, and soup curry!

DAY 2

For the second day, take a trip to Otaru, a neighboring town of Sapporo. Once the center of Hokkaido, this port town displays a sense of nostalgia in its streets. After enjoying the stroll by the canal and taking photos along the way, enjoy Otaru's famous sushi for lunch. After filling your stomach, take the train to Yoichi, our next stop.

The next stop is at the Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery, founded in 1936 by Masataka Taketsuru, known as the father of Japanese whisky. Visitors can learn about Nikka's story through the displays while being surrounded by the rich aroma of whiskey. The evening will take you to out of Yoichi to the Niseko area by bus. After checking in, go out for night skiing to an energetic evening.

DAY 3

Skiers and snowboarders from all over the world flock to Niseko to leave their mark on its pristine powder snow, praised as the highest quality in the world. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the snow resorts in Niseko offer a wide range of other activities to enjoy the snow. Try your hand at winter river rafting through the silvery-white world, snow rafting through the snowfields, snowmobiling, and more!

After the enthralling experience for both adults and children, warm your body in the hot springs before heading to the next destination, Hakodate. On the last night, appreciate the nighttime view from Mount Hakodate, tuck into fresh seafood in the Bay Area, or bar hop in the Goryokaku area.

DAY 4

For the last day, we will continue to enjoy the city of Hakodate until our time of departure. First, walk around the Hakodate Morning Market and recharge your energy at the lively square. The market also offers unusual activities like an exciting round of fishing in the squid fishing pond! Don't forget to do some souvenir shopping before taking the streetcar to Goryokaku Park.

From Goryokaku Tower, you can see the unusual star-shaped fortress built for the Hakodate War that broke out at the end of the Edo period. Grab some lunch at one of the restaurants in the Goryokaku area. Some recommended dishes you can find here are Hakodate Ramen and conveyor-belt sushi. After filling up on food, take a bus to Hakodate Airport, as you cherish the many memories made during the four days exploring Hokkaido's fascinating cities.
